Breast Cancer Walk 2025

On a brisk October morning in Richmond, the Iota Sigma Chapter gathered at Monroe Park, energized and ready to show up in force for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Virginia (Saturday, October 18, 2025). The purple-and-white fraternity shirts stood out among waves of pink, as team members greeted survivors, caregivers, and supporters with high-fives, hugs, and shared stories of hope and renewal. As the crowd gathered, the air was full of smiles, cheers, and the collective excitement of making strides—not just walking a route but walking in solidarity.
When the walk launched, the chapter moved forward with energy and purpose. United shoulder to shoulder, brothers of Iota Sigma stepped in time with hundreds of participants, music playing, banners flying, and voices raised in encouragement. The route along Franklin Street and Monument Avenue became a moving ticker-tape of purpose: the firm footsteps of each member echoed the shared commitment to raise awareness, honor survivors, and support the mission of defeating breast cancer. The day was as much about joy and connection as it was about raising funds and visibility.
By the finish line the atmosphere was electric and hopeful. The chapter’s team gathered for photos, victory poses, and reflection on their impact. Many had taken extra steps—collecting donations, reaching out to loved ones affected by breast cancer, and using the event as a platform to deepen their service commitment. As they dispersed, there was not a tired vibe but a triumphant one: the Iota Sigma Chapter didn’t just participate—they helped turn a community walk into a moment of real momentum in the fight against breast cancer.
